Cold Shower.

Yes, it’s good for your health:

  • Increases alertness
  • Refines hair and skin
  • Improves immunity and circulation

More importantly though: It’s a Willpower Workout.

The moment just before you switch the “hot” to “cold” and expose your body to the freezing sensation. I’ll be honest: After years of doing this, I still hesitate. I try to postpone (or procrastinate?) the switch to cold, staying under the pleasant hot water a little longer. But when I finally manage – it’s my little morning victory.

Exercising, starting the work on an intimidating task or having an uncomfortable conversation: All these require your willpower.
